Are support and updates included?

We provide free support through our Forum or you can also directly contact us through our support email.

Your initial purchase of CameraRC Deluxe includes One (1) year of free updates. You can purchase an anytime upgrade that provides an additional year of updates at anytime.

How Many System Activations are provided?

CameraRC Deluxe uses activation to help reduce software counterfeiting, this also helps ensure that customers receive the software quality they expect. The Standard Edition of CameraRC Deluxe allows a single system activation while the Professional Edition provides 3 activations. Our Professional License also permits CameraRC Deluxe to be used on all 3 systems at the same time as long as the systems are within the same household or business.

Our activation system allows you to deactivate and move your license between systems an unlimited number of times. So if you need to replace a system or just want to use the software on a different system it is a simple operation to Deactivate on one system and Activate on another. Once a license key is entered on a system it is not even necessary to reenter the key if you are moving the license between systems on a recurring basis.

What about Refunds?

Since we provide a 14 day trial we do not provide refunds except for cause. Please contact us if you encounter a situation where you think you should get a refund; our goal is to have satisfied customers and if you are having issues with our software we will either make them right or provide a refund.

What about support for the IPAD or Android devices?

I purchased CameraRC Deluxe but have not received my license.

You should receive your license within a couple of minutes of your purchase. Please check to ensure your spam filter did not remove the email (we send your license from support@camerarc.jpro51.com). If it has been over several minutes and you have not received your license contact at our support email, please include the email address that was used for the purchase. We will contact you promptly and send you the necessary license information.

What are the C runtime libraries that I see being installed on Windows?

These are standard Microsoft components required for program operation.

CameraRC Deluxe does not detect or connect to my camera.

See Appendix H in our Help for troubleshooting this issue.

Why are images captured darker than expected?

In addition to checking your exposure mode and exposure compensation, check that you have the eyepiece cap covering the eyepiece while shooting. Stray light can enter through the eyepiece and cause incorrect exposure. This is also the case when shooting on a tripod without having your eye to the eyepiece.

Can CameraRC be used with the shutter release on the camera?

Yes! You can use CameraRC and shoot from the camera – this is especially useful with portrait photography where you want a large display of the image available on a computer screen after each shot to display. You should be able to use a USB cable up to 5 meters (approximately 15 ft) for shooting. Give it a try, let your subject see what they are doing following each shot. Note that the camera’s shutter release cannot be used in Live View Mode (this is a Nikon restriction) – A remote release also cannot be used in Live View.

Can I display the image capture full screen on a monitor while capturing?

Yes – CameraRC Deluxe will update the display the most current image captured full screen if desired. You can also use multiple monitors with CameraRC.

Can I save an image to both the card on the camera and on the computer at the same time using CameraRC?

This capability is limited to Nikon cameras that support this capability. At present only the D7000, D5100, D800, D800E, D3S, and D4 and later models support saving to both the card and downloading to the computer.

The Live View Mode option is not displayed, how do I set tripod/Handheld mode?

Not all Nikon Cameras support the mode option. If the live mode option is not displayed then your camera only supports tripod mode and uses contrast auto-focus.

I don’t see the LV Release Mode option for my camera, where is it located?

The Live View Release Mode is located on the Live View Tab of the Camera Control Panel, not all Nikon cameras support the Live View Release Mode option and will only be visible if supported.

When I press the Focus In or Focus Out control nothing seems to happen.

Contrast auto focus can be very picky – it requires that the object focused on has some level of contrast difference. Try moving the focus point to an area with a contrast difference or use manual focus by focusing in and out..

Why don’t I see the contrast focus point?

First make sure that you are in Tripod Mode and you have the Show Focus Points checked on the Live View/Composition Aids panel. If your camera supports Hand Held mode and Hand Held mode is set there is no Live View Focus Point displayed; instead you select a focus point using the Focus Point tab on the focusing tab of the Camera Control Panel or select the focus point using the cursor on the Live View display.

Why can’t I use the camera shutter release or change settings directly on the camera in Live View?

When in Live View Nikon cameras are in a “locked” state and can only be controlled from the computer.
